Governor Tony Evers has announced over $22 million in grants to municipalities throughout the state, including some locally.
These grants are part of the Community Development Block Grant program for critical public infrastructure.
Grants were given to 22 cities and villages aiming to improve public projects such as roads, utilities, and water treatment facilities.
Campbellsport and Ripon each received $1 million, while Clintonville received over $500,000, all for street and utility infrastructure improvements.
Oconto Falls also received $1 million to improve their lift station as well.
Regarding these grants, Gov. Evers said, “All of these projects will help support jobs and improve the quality of life for folks and families in communities across the state.”
In total, just over $29 million was awarded throughout Wisconsin as part of this program.
