Lorraine T. Trochil, age 94, of Manitowoc, passed away on Friday morning, August 2, 2024 at Shady Lane Home in Manitowoc.
Lorraine was born on April 7, 1930, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Mathew and Hildegard (Tauschek) Novack. She grew up in Manitowoc and was a 1948 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Lorraine married LeRoy F. Trochil at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc on August 26, 1950. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2022. Lorraine enjoyed her yard and especially taking care of her flowers. She loved cooking and baking for her family. Lorraine was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include her two sons: Robert Trochil, Appleton, and Bill (Candy) Trochil, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Dan (Kristin) Trochil, Greenville, Kevin (Amanda Menet) Trochil, Grand Chute, Stacey (Domenic) Bonacci, LaQuinta, CA, Ryan (Nicole) Trochil, Brookfield, Nick (Begona) Trochil, Spain; nine great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Elaine Naidl, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mathew and Hildegard Novack; her husband: LeRoy F. Trochil; one daughter: Judith Trochil; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: John (Marge) Novack, Leonard (June) Novack; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Charlotte (George) Reimer, Ann Novack, Marguerite (Clarence) Felber, LaVerne Wusterbarth; father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Viola Trochil; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Sandra (Allen) Bialek, Vic Naidl.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Rev. Matt Colle will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial with burial of her cremated remains at the Knollwood Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
