The changes in gas prices around our area are a bit of a mixed bag this week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, Manitowoc County motorists are paying ten cents more at the pump this week with an average of $3.48 per gallon.
The only county with a bigger jump is Calumet County, where prices increased by 15 cents to $3.52, also giving them the most expensive fuel in the area.
Sheboygan County, meanwhile, reported a three-cent bump to $3.42 per gallon, while Brown County’s average is up five cents to $3.44.
Outagamie and Kewaunee Counties, however, each reported declines, one cent and four cents respectively, leaving them with averages of $3.35 and $3.44.
Door County’s price remained unchanged since this time last week, remaining at $3.50 per gallon.
The state average also rose by a penny to $3.48 per gallon, while the national average dropped four cents to $3.46.
This marks the first time since the second week of April last year that the state average has been higher than the national average.
