The man convicted in the killing of two women in Green Bay is going back on trial.
Richard Sotka was previously convicted in the double murder of Rhonda Cegelski and Paula O’Connor and is also facing charges related to an attack on a jail correctional officer.
Sotka was before Judge Beau Liegious Tuesday for a status conference, where his trial date was set for October 16th.
FOX11 reports that the attack happened on October 12th.
Sotka allegedly repeatedly hit the jail worker in the head, with the first strike landing on their left ear.
When backup arrived, Sotka was subdued and restrained.
The officer was treated at a local hospital and released the same day.
