The Barron County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning about a spike in overdoses due to a suspected bad batch of drugs, likely laced with fentanyl.
Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald reported that Narcan was used three times on Monday and Tuesday to revive individuals who had overdosed in different public locations.
Free Narcan doses are available at the county’s public health department, and drug testing strips are accessible in neighboring counties.
