A man from Eau Claire, who was previously charged for running down a highway in Lake Hallie with a machete last year, is now facing charges related to the death of a puppy.
Prosecutors have charged Chad Nylen after neighbors reported hearing the puppy crying and whining at his home.
Nylen claimed he accidentally dropped a paving stone on the dog but also mentioned that the dog was “mind-controlled.”
If convicted, Nylen could face up to three-and-a-half years in prison for the puppy’s death.
