The head coach of the Green Bay Blizzard has been honored by the Indoor Football League.
The IFL named Corey Roberson the 2024 Coach of the year following an impressive season.
The Blizzard was one of the top teams in the league this year, ending the 2024 season with a 13-3 record and sporting one of the top defensive units in the league.
Defensively, Green Bay was among the top three in multiple statistical categories and was first in fewest points allowed per game with 33.7, sacks with 27, and fumble recoveries with 9.
Roberson has some ties to Manitowoc, as he was a player for the Manitowoc County Mariners during their inaugural season in 2010.
He played defensive back and was a backup for current head coach Brent Luebke at QB.
In fact, that duo also played college ball at Lakeland University.
