A Donald Trump-endorsed candidate won the Wisconsin 8th Congressional District Primary.
Tony Wied will move on to face off against Democrat Krystan Lyerly in the upcoming general election after beating former State Representative Roger Roth and State Senator Andre Jacque in the Republican Primary.
Lyerly was the only Democrat running in the primary for the 8th Congressional seat. The seat became open after former Congressman Mike Gallagher resigned in the middle of his term.
In Manitowoc County, Republican Glenn Grothman will face off against Democrat John Zarbano for the 6th Congressional District seat in November after they each won their primary election.
At the US Senate level, Republican Businessman Eric Hovde easily defeats two other candidates, Charles Barman and Rejani Raveendran, for the Republican nomination.
He will face Incumbent Democrat Tammy Baldwin, who didn’t have an opponent in the primary.
The General Election takes place on November 5th.
