A Milwaukee alderman is urging residents to stay vigilant following a recent surge in carjackings in his district.
Alderman Lamont Westmorland reported that five carjackings have occurred in his neighborhood over the past 10 days.
He emphasized the importance of drivers being aware of their surroundings and promptly reporting any suspicious activity to the police.
Westmorland warned that no one is immune from the risk of carjacking, regardless of their location within the city.
