The now-20-year-old woman who is accused of starting a fire that killed her nephew has been offered a plea deal.
The details of the deal offered to Marcelia Fonseca have not been made public, but FOX11 reports that she is expected to make a decision early next week.
Fonseca was 15 years old when she reportedly set a fire in a home in the 2500 block of Wisconsin Avenue in 2019.
An investigation revealed that the fire was set intentionally and is believed to have been aimed at killing the 11-month-old child.
A previous trial ended in a mistrial, as the jury could not come to a unanimous verdict.
A second trial is scheduled for October 4th, but if the deal is accepted, that would be canceled.
