Two Rivers businesses are teaming up to help raise money for the Lakeshore Humane Society.
Two Rivers Main Street is taking the lead on an event they are calling the Dog Days of Summer in Downtown Two Rivers, which is taking place August 19th through the 25th.
All you have to do to support the local animal rescue is visit a participating business and make a donation of cash, coins, or shelter items like food, litter, and blankets.
Participating in the fundraising effort are 1st Anderson Real Estate, Cool City Cycles, Paper Crane Bookstore, Schroeder’s Department Store, Seeds N Beans, TR Christian Center Thrift Store, Wargin Agency, American Family, White Cap Insurance Agency, GJ’s Salon and Spa, Intertwined, The Read Apple, Two Rivers Main Street Office, Paczkowski Family Dental.
The Lakeshore Humane Society places over 900 animals a year in forever homes.
As well as raising funds for the care of animals, the Humane Society is undergoing a capital campaign to construct a new shelter building and is looking at $3.8 million to get it built.
