This week marks the first week of high school football games being played throughout the state.
For several area schools, this year will be the beginning of a new era, including Manitowoc Lincoln.
The Ships, under the leadership of new head coach Evan Smith, will be taking on the De Pere Redbirds this Thursday at Rubick Field, with coverage on 107.9 FM WOMT and at WOMTRadio.com beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Another team going through a major change is Two Rivers, which is now competing in the North Eastern Conference.
The Raiders will kick off their 2024 campaign on the road as they travel to Appleton this Friday to take on Fox Valley Lutheran.
In a cross-town battle, Roncalli and Manitowoc Lutheran will be on Rubick Field Friday with coverage on 97.1 FM WCUB and at CubRadio.com starting at 7:00 p.m.
The Mishicot Indians will also start their 2024 campaign at home, hosting Reedsville, while Valders makes the trip to Appleton to face Xavier.
