On the six-month anniversary of the disappearance of Elijah Vue, the Two Rivers Police Department took some time to dispel some rumors surrounding the case.
One aspect of that is a fake GoFundMe page that had been set up.
A spokesperson for GoFundMe clarified that situation, saying, “A single fundraiser was identified and removed from the platform before any funds were raised.”
The representative of the company also noted, “Our Trust & Safety team is continuing to monitor and will review any fundraisers related to this situation to ensure compliance with GoFundMe Terms of Service.”
Another aspect of the release that got people’s attention was Captain Andrew Raatz’s statement: “We are confident that our investigation will ultimately reveal the truth of Elijah’s disappearance.”
It is not clear exactly what that means, but rumors have begun to swirl about what really happened to the now four-year-old boy.
