A 6-year-old child has died after being hit by a car while riding his bike.
The Fond du Lac Police Department and Fire/Rescue squads were dispatched to the 300 block of Grove Street just before 6:30 Wednesday evening (August 21st) on a report of a child that had been struck by a vehicle.
It was learned that the child had ridden his bike into the street, which is when the car, being driven by a 41-year-old North Fond du Lac resident, hit the yet unnamed child.
They were taken to St. Agnes Hospital, where they later died.
The driver was uninjured physically, and it is unclear if they will be facing any charges.
The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details are being released at this time.
