The case of Elijah Vue has captivated those not only in Two Rivers and Manitowoc but all over the state.
While some people have continued their search efforts and raised questions about the case, for many, it all went on the back burner.
There were no new breaks in the case, and Jesse Vang and Katrina Baur haven’t had any court dates in a few weeks, leaving it out of the news cycle.
However, with the six-month anniversary of the day the now 4-year-old Elijah disappeared, interest has been reignited.
For a group in Appleton, that comes in the form of a dinosaur-themed birthday party for the missing child.
It will be held on Sunday (August 25th) at Kiwanis Park starting at 1:00 p.m.
There will be face painting, balloon animals, and, of course, cake to celebrate Elijah’s 4th birthday.
The Two Rivers Police Department has verified that this is a legitimate event, with Elijah’s family asking that they help pass the information along.
