The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has announced they have a new tool for analyzing water quality throughout the state.
The Wisconsin Water Explorer is a web-based tool that aids Wisconsinites in addressing water quality concerns in lakes and rivers.
The answers to questions of water quality require extensive datasets and high-powered tech software.
The Water Explorer puts that data in the hands of users by automating the process of finding and then analyzing said data.
It will also use graphs, automated reports, and maps to provide a look into current water quality conditions.
Furthermore the new water quality tool will allow users to see if a body of water adheres to water quality standards, identify likely causes of pollution, and determine the amount of improvements needed for restoration.
The Wisconsin Water Explorer tool can be found at dnr.wisconsin.gov.
