It’s Opening night for several local and area high school football teams this evening, with the slate of games including a cross-town battle at Rubick Field in Manitowoc as Roncalli hosts Manitowoc Lutheran.

Elsewhere, Two Rivers plays its first game as a member of The Northeast Conference as they travel to Appleton to meet the Foxes of Fox Valley Lutheran. Reedsville, a game away from Madison last season, opens in Mishicot against the Indians.
Valders heads to Appleton to battle the Xavier Hawks. Kiel travels to Sheboygan Falls, and Brillion opens their season hosting the Hilbert Wolves while the Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/ Christian tri-op heads to Howards Grove to meet the Tigers.
Other openers have Denmark heading to Shawano, last year’s Division Four runners-up Luxemburg Casco heads to Seymour to meet the Thunder, Kewaunee is home for Racine Lutheran, the Flying Dutchmen of Oostburg welcome in the Southern Door Eagles, Sturgeon Bay has a long bus ride to Waupun, Sheboygan North opens at Kewaskum, West Bend West hosts Sheboygan South, Green Bay West host Campbellsport, Green Bay Preble hosts Oshkosh West.
Also, Kaukauna travels to Notre Dame, the West De Pere Phantoms host the Hortonville Polar Bears, Green Bay East heads to Appleton West, Green Bay Preble welcomes Oshkosh West, the Oconomowoc Racoons make the trek north to battle Pulaski, Ashwaubenon opens at Oshkosh North, Cedar Grove-Belgium is home for Mayville and Fond Du Lac heads to Sussex-Hamiliton.
