The Manitowoc Lincoln Girls’ Tennis team suffered two tough losses after weekend matches at Wauwatosa East with East and the co-op of Roncalli and Two Rivers.
Lincoln fell 4-3 to Wauwatosa East. In singles matches, Jordin Popp and Abbie Kaiser won in straight sets, while Fiona Agacki won for Wauwatosa East.
Manitowoc Lincoln’s London Vang fell to Wauwatosa’s Sophia Searing in three sets.
In doubles, the team of Zylia Kleinfeldt and Taylor Petersson won in straight sets over the team of Mida Riofrio and Clare Kasdorf.
However, Wauwatosa East’s Lily Ruggini, Sophia Stocco, Izzy Mikkelson, and Grace Malone won their matches in straight sets.
The Roncalli/Two Rivers co-op beat Lincoln 4-3. Jordin Popp and Josie Pankratt won in singles in straight sets, while Allision Gatin beat Britanny Lewin in three sets.
In doubles, Roncalli/Two Rivers sweeps Lincoln in all three matches, including the duo of Madison and Magie Lamers beating Taylor Peterson and Zylia Kleinfeld in three sets, while the team of Lucy Leist and Nevaeh Son and Andria Rodriguez and Addison Hage pick up wins in straight sets.
The Lincoln girls have a long day ahead as they travel to Shawano Community High School for a triangular meet with Oshkosh North, Pulaski, and Shawano. The competition began at 9:00 am.
