The Manitowoc Lincoln boys’ soccer team opens their 2024 season at Kaukauna tonight against the Galloping Ghosts.
The Ships are looking to improve on a 4-16 and 1 campaign in 2023, and they’ll have to play well on the road to begin the season.
Their first three and six of their first seven matches are away from home, and they’re scheduled for just six home matches in 2024.
The JV’s start at 4:30 with the varsity scheduled to be played under the lights at 7:00 p.m.
Elsewhere in boys’ soccer, Roncalli hosts Algoma, Kiel hosts Sturgeon Bay and Sheboygan Christian/Lutheran is home for Fox Valley Lutheran Marinette hosts Green Bay West, and Wrightstown is home for Ashwaubenon.
All those matches begin at 4:30 p.m.
Other matches have Sheboygan Falls hosting Waupun and Green Bay Southwest traveling to Wausau East. Both start at 6:00 p.m.
Kewaunee travels to Luxemburg Casco for a 6:30 match. Other 6:30 starts have New Holstein hosing Gibraltar/Sevastopol, Sheboygan South at Menominee Falls, Neenah at De Pere. Green Bay Preble hosts Kimberly, Pulaski travelling to Shawano and West De Pere hosts Notre Dame.
Matches start at 7:00 p.m. besides Lincoln and Kaukauna, find Kohler hosting Mayville, Appleton West heads to Bay Port, Lomira is home for Cedar Grove-Belgium and Oostburg goes to Slinger to meet The Rockets.
In girls’ Volleyball, the Kiel Raiders host North Fond Du Lac.
The JV match is set for 5:30, with the varsity match to follow at 7:00 p.m.
Sheboygan Falls opens at Homestead, and the Kiel Girls Swim Team travels to Seymour for a quadrangular meet beginning at 5:00 p.m.
