While yesterday’s round of storms didn’t impact Manitowoc County too much, the City of Kewaunee got hit hard.
According to WBAY, Kewaunee saw strong winds just before noon.
There were reports of damaging straight-line winds at 50 to 65 mph, which brought down trees, blew shingles off roofs, and sent road construction signs into roadways.
Yesterday afternoon, Wisconsin Public Service reported more than 1,600 homes and businesses without power and about 5,600 customers without power throughout its service area.
According to the Wisconsin Public Service outage map, as of this morning, there are still multiple power outages around Kewaunee, with over 100 people without power.
Other communities around northeastern Wisconsin also dealt with the storms yesterday, with snapped tree limbs and flag poles being blown down.
