A man in prison for an attempted murder in Manitowoc County is now facing homicide charges from behind bars.
According to WBAY, an inmate’s death at the Green Bay Correctional Institution is being investigated as a homicide.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called at 9:35 Tuesday (August 27th) evening for the inmate, now known as Micah Laureano, who didn’t have a pulse and wasn’t breathing.
He was later pronounced dead.
Sheriff’s deputies say Laureano and the suspect, 24-year-old Jackson Vogel, were cellmates.
Investigators aren’t releasing any more information at this time.
Laureano was in prison for multiple charges, including robbery with a use of force.
