The annual Kites Over Lake Michigan event returns for the last time this weekend.
This marks the 19th and final rendition of the event as lead organizer Chow Chung is stepping down from the role.
Kites Over Lake Michigan will take place at Two Rivers High School on Saturday (August 31st) and Sunday starting at 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., respectively.
The event, normally held on the shores of Lake Michigan, was moved to the high school after the high water levels of Lake Michigan left them with very little beach space to work with.
The kite show will offer attendees amazing displays of beautiful show kites, precision stunt teams, and colorful ground displays.
On Sunday there will also be a free kite-making workshop for kids starting at 9:00 a.m. and going until 11:00 a.m.
As this appears to be the last ever Kites Over Lake Michigan event, Chang offered thanks to all who have attended and supported the event throughout the years.
More information on the event can be found online on the Unique Flying Objects Facebook Page.
