A Green Bay man could be reaching a plea deal in his sexual assault case.
Fox 11 reports that 19-year-old Mauricio Powless faces two counts of second-degree sexual assault for allegedly pulling down the pants of a 10-year-old girl in an elevator at a Green Bay lodge before touching the backside of a 13-year-old who was also in the elevator.
A criminal complaint also says Green Bay Police were then sent back to the lodge after Powless allegedly touched another 13-year-old girl and asked her to “kiss him.”
His defense attorney explained to a Brown County judge that he’s still working to get a psychological exam before the plea hearing, although they don’t expect to use a not guilty by reason of insanity plea.
Powless is scheduled to be back in court on October 29th.
He faces charges of Attempted 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a person under 13, False Imprisonment, an two counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child.
