One man has died following a small plane crash in Fond du Lac County.
FOX11 reports that the incident took place on Monday (September 2nd) around 8:30 p.m. in a cornfield near Townhall Road and Highway 45 in the town of Auburn.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls reporting a possible plane crash in the area.
Eventually, crews located the fallen plane with the pilot, an 89-year-old man from the Campbellsport area, badly injured and trapped inside.
Responding firefighters were able to remove the 89-year-old from the wreckage, and EMS workers began tending to his injuries.
