A K9 part of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has returned to work after being shot on duty.
WBAY reports that Iro made his return on Thursday (September 6th) after completion of the recertification course.
Iro and Deputy Blaine Evans were involved in a shooting within the city of Fond du Lac.
During the shooting, Iro suffered multiple gunshot wounds and had to go through multiple surgeries to recover.
This included traveling all the way down to Madison to receive treatment.
Officials with the Sheriff’s Office said the amount of support Iro received after the incident during this difficult time meant a lot to the department.
