Charges have officially been filed against a man who is accused of stealing from the Manitowoc Walmart.
Daniel A. Smith was in court recently, where he was given a $250 cash bond on charges of Retail Theft, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday when a loss prevention employee with Walmart noticed him take a $129 speaker, place it into a tub, and walk out the front door without attempting to pay for either item.
The employee recognized Smith from previous incidents, which helped police realize he was already in the Manitowoc County Jail on separate charges.
The 32-year-old Smith was ordered to have no contact with Walmart and to maintain absolute sobriety.
He is due back in court on September 9th.
