A bomb threat was called into a Walmart in Oshkosh. On Monday (September 8th), just before 6:30 p.m.
The Oshkosh Police Department was called to the Walmart at 351 South Washburn Street for the threat.
Upon receiving the threat, Walmart immediately evacuated staff and customers, and Oshkosh PD officers aided in the evacuation and secured entrances.
After everyone was out, explosive-detecting K9s and officers swept the building to search for suspicious items.
Eventually the building was deemed safe with no bombs or explosives being located.
Through investigation, the Oshkosh Police Department was able to track down a possible suspect who resided in Illinois.
An Illinois agency made contact with the individual; however, the investigation is ongoing.
