A local credit union is being honored for its amazing work environment.
In the latest “Best Credit Unions to Work For” report, American Banker ranked UnitedOne Credit Union number six on the list, up one spot from their 7th place finish last year.
UnitedOne CEO Kim Rooney said in a news release that a positive work environment is something they strive to achieve.
She noted, “By fostering a supportive culture through the efforts of our Leadership Team and Board of Directors, we empower our employees to achieve their best. This dedication ultimately translates into extraordinary experiences for our members, who are at the core of everything we do.”
Additionally, UnitedOne also ranks third on the list amongst credit unions with asset sizes between $200-$500 million.
American Banker’s rankings are compiled using the results from two different surveys.
The first survey was completed by employees and examined employee satisfaction, while the second evaluated the benefits and policies of each credit union.
In the article, American Banker noted that UnitedOne developed a “Dream Account” that “works like a savings account but is functionally closer to a certificate of deposit. Members deposit a set amount of funds in the account and determine a date for when that account will ‘mature.’”
It also noted, “UnitedOne encourages its employees and members to use its in-house retirement and investment services center, and team members who meet with financial representatives during work hours are paid for that time as if they were still working.”
Earning the top spot was Southwest Financial FCU out of Texas.
