A man has been sentenced after illegally having a gun when shots were fired in Oshkosh.
Fox 11 reports that 21-year-old Lamont Brown was sentenced to 1 year in prison followed by five years on extended supervision.
Brown was arrested back on April 13th at 9:40 pm after Oshkosh Police were called to investigate “a large physical disturbance” happening outdoors involving about 100 people during the unsanctioned “Pub Crawl.”
It was reported that several gunshots were heard near Scott Avenue and Wright Street, and several shell casings were found.
No one was injured and there was no damage to property.
Home security footage captured a large group of people before four shots were fired.
A criminal complaint shows Brown walking away from the area holding a gun and telling another person to “not tell anyone about this.”
A Glock handgun was found, and Brown was later arrested.
Brown had previous convictions for a theft case.
