An annual triathlon in Kiel will cause the closure of public streets.
Kiel Police explain to residents on Facebook that the Kiel Raider Triathlon gets underway at 8:00 am tomorrow (September 15th).
It beings at and ends at Kiel High School, but portions of the race take place on public roads as well as walking paths and bike trails.
No Parking signs have been placed near the high school at Raider Heights, 1st Street North of Park Avenue, Dewey Street, Riverview Road, and 4th Street.
Some roadways will also have barricades preventing non-residential traffic from entering the area.
Trail areas between State Highway 67, Rockville, and County Highway XX will be used for the biking portion of the triathlon.
Road plans also consist of traffic control points with law enforcement and volunteers located along the run and bike routes in both the city of Kiel and Town of Schleswig.
The triathlon includes a new 5K run and 2 mile walk this year.
You can find more information about the event at the Kiel Triathlon’s website.
