One person is dead following a weekend crash at the Wisconsin International Raceway.
Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and EMS were called to the track just after 3:30 p.m. Saturday on a report of a vehicle crash with injuries.
When first responders arrived, they found that the crash involved a single vehicle using the raceway’s drag strip.
The driver, a 65-year-old Outagamie man, struck a concrete bridge rail and was ejected from the vehicle into a ditch near the drag strip.
Due to injuries sustained from the crash, the Outagamie man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information, including the deceased man’s name, is being released at this time.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Town of Buchanan Fire and Rescue, Combined Locks Public Safety, and Gold Cross Ambulance.
