A Manitowoc man has been arrested for allegedly punching a minor over the weekend.
Manitowoc Police responded to a call reporting family trouble in the 1200 block of South 17th Street just before 5:00 Saturday evening.
The call originally stemmed from an altercation between the suspect, a 25-year-old Manitowoc man, and a minor.
The altercation happened after the minor accused the suspect of using methamphetamine.
This angered the 25-year-old, leading him to punch the minor twice.
The altercation continued verbally, without any more physical violence.
Responding police officers received witness accounts from those involved, which led to the arrest of the Manitowoc man.
He is facing charges of physical abuse of a minor and felony bail jumping, which stems from an open case in which the suspect is accused of delivering methamphetamine.
No further information has been released, and the presiding officer has contacted the Department of Human Services regarding the incident.
