The superintendent of the Brillion Public School District has responded to this morning’s threat.
Corey Baumgartner explained in a post on the District’s Facebook page, that District leadership received a notification regarding a threat early this morning, which specifically mentioned one the school buildings.
An email was immediately sent to all families, notifying them that school was canceled for the day.
Police have identified a female juvenile who was responsible and determined the threat was not credible.
Baumgartner stated, “The District will be advocating that the individual responsible be held accountable for their actions to the fullest extent.”
It was also noted that this threat had no connection to an alleged threat that was reported at the middle school late last week.
He also encouraged parents to “talk with their children about the seriousness of making threats and the harsh consequences those who make threats will face once identified… We are confident that our schools are safe, and we look forward to seeing our students and staff return tomorrow morning as normally scheduled.”
