The Manitowoc County Health Department wants to help parents make sure their car seats are installed correctly.
The group is hosting a Manitowoc County Car Seat Check Event tomorrow (September 21st) from 8:00 am to noon at the Manitowoc County Hamilton Building on Hamilton Street.
The health department asks that you allow for 20 minutes per vehicle as a certified child passenger safety technician will help make sure a child is riding safely.
Legally, car seats are required for all children from birth to when they’ve grown to 4’9”.
The checks come as a part of Child Passenger Safety Week.
Parents can use the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Car Seat Finder to see which is the best for their child as well.
