The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) will be hosting soil health and testing workshops this fall.
There will be five workshops held throughout September and October.
These workshops will cover topics such as soil biology, how to take and test soil samples, and what to do based on the results of those samples.
The workshops will be open to all producers and will focus on supporting beginning or underserved farmers.
The first of the five workshops will be held in Appleton from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. and will be led by the North Eastern Wisconsin Hmong Professionals.
There will be a mix of Hmong-, Spanish-, and English-speaking presenters, and language interpretation will be provided.
More information on the workshops and registration can be found online at datcp.wi.gov.
