The City of Sheboygan’s Plan Commission is set to review proposed amendments to the Malibu Apartments project.
At today’s (September 24th) final Plan Commission meeting for September, they will be discussing changes brought forth by Malibu Apartments LLC following consulting with local residents.
These changes include removing the proposed commercial restaurant space for the addition of more beachfront units.
Other changes involve structural modifications, shifting the entire complex five to six feet northwest and making Clara Avenue into a cul-de-sac with additional public parking.
After conferring with the public, developers of the apartment complex believe these changes would improve the functionality and aesthetic of the building as a whole and better serve the community’s needs.
Depending on the Plan Commission’s decision on these amendments, the changes would still need full approval from the Common Council to be fully implemented.
