It was a rough day on the court for the Manitowoc Lincoln girls tennis team as they lost to Bay Port 6-1.
Singles competitors Jordin Popp, Alison Gates, and Jersie Pankratz each lost in straight sets while Abbie Kaiser took the first set over Paige Gillette 6-4, before falling 3-6 and 10-8 in the tiebreaker.
Doubles teams Reilly Blaser/Breleigh Kowalski and London Vang/Mya Schneider also lost in straight sets while Taylor Peterson/Zylia Kleinfeldt lost their first set before rallying to win the final two 6-3, 10-4.
With the loss, the Ships fall to 9-6, 4-2 in the FRCC, and are now tied for 3rd in the conference.
They will take today off before hosting Green Bay Preble on Thursday (September 26th) and traveling to Oshkosh West High School for an eight-school invite on Saturday.
