Woodland Dunes Nature Preserve has closed a couple of its trails.
According to their Facebook page, the Cattail Trail was closed starting yesterday (September 24th) as crews work to make the boardwalk on the trail wider and flatter so it’s more easily accessible.
The Cattail Trail is scheduled to be reopened by October 21st. Wisconsin Conservation Corps is tasked with doing maintenance.
Woodland Dunes also announced that the Yellow Birch trail was closed until further notice.
They thanked the public for their understanding because of the closures but reminded everyone that there are other trails that they can go on if they visit.
Woodland Dunes has seven miles of walking and hiking trails within the over 1,500 acres of the preserve.
