The Brown County Library has announced the lineup for its 36th annual Local History Series.
All programs for the two-month-long event will be held in the lower auditorium level of the Central Library beginning at 6:30 p.m.
There will be six events happening at the library throughout October and November with the first taking place on October 5th covering the history of gas stations in Wisconsin.
October 8th’s event will explore the history of the University of Notre Dame’s 1924 football team, which featured three halfbacks from Green Bay East High School.
The four remaining history events will take place each week on Tuesday, with the final event set to be held on November 12th, discussing Wisconsin Lighthouses.
This series is supported by the Friends of the Brown County Library and offers an in-depth look at unique stories from Wisconsin’s history.
