For the second month in a row, home prices in Manitowoc County have gone down.
According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the average home sold in Manitowoc County during the month of August went for $224,450, which is down 2.4% from July’s average of $230,000.
It is, however, it is 17.5% higher than August of 2023, when the average home sold for $191,000.
86 homes were sold last month, which is three more than in July, and ten more than August of last year.
Those homes were on the market an average of eight days longer than they were last year as well.
The state numbers followed a similar trend, with the $324,000 median price 1% less expensive than last month but 8% higher than last year, while the 6,721 homes sold nearly 4% more than last month, but 4.7% lower than last August.
