A man is facing charges after he fled from police during a traffic stop.
A Manitowoc Police Officer reports pulling a vehicle over on Thursday (September 26th) just before 3:30 a.m. on North 10th Street just north of York Street for not having headlights on.
The officer noticed the smell of marijuana and asked the driver to exit the car.
After a short time, the 38-year-old man took off and tried to hide under a staircase behind Lucky Bamboo.
The officer, with his taser drawn, ordered the man to stop running, and he gave up without further incident.
Additional units arrived on the scene to help with the arrest and a search of his vehicle.
The search uncovered a blunt containing marijuana, along with baggies of cocaine and fentanyl on the roof of a building near the pursuit trail.
The man was arrested on charges of Possession of THC, Resisting or Obstructing, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine and Fentanyl.
