A Fond du Lac man is in custody after turning himself in for a shooting over the weekend.
The Fond du Lac Police Department received a call of reported gunshots on Saturday (September 28th) just after 8:00 p.m. around First and Adams Streets.
Responding officers located a 48-year-old Fond du Lac man with multiple gunshot wounds to his left arm and leg.
Multiple tourniquets were used, and police performed life-saving measures.
The suspect was last said to be seen entering the Parish School Apartments, and a perimeter was set up, but they were not located.
A person of interest in the case was determined, and a search warrant for their apartment was obtained; however, it would not be needed.
Yesterday (September 29th), the suspect, a 39-year-old Fond du Lac man, turned himself into authorities without incident.
He is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.
Fond du Lac Police have said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing and is a significant priority for the department.
