The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is collecting items to send to those in need following Hurricane Helene.
The Sheriff’s Office will accept items to be sent to the Asheville Police Department until Friday, October 4th, at 2:00 p.m.
They are one of a few area entities participating in the collection, which has been organized by Police Lights of Christmas and Karl’s Transportation.
Karl’s Transportation has offered to drive a semi-truck full of much-needed donated items to North Carolina.
The most necessary items include bottled and gallon water jugs, paper towels, toilet paper, baby wipes, diapers, generators, trash bags, new blankets, non-perishable snacks, and toiletries.
Fox Valley Area residents may bring their donations to the Festival Foods in Darboy and those in the Green Bay area can bring their items to St. Mark Ministries.
More information on the Hurricane Helene relief being sent to Asheville, North Carolina can be found on the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
