Ascend Services in Manitowoc is recognizing National Disability Employment month.
Ascend announced that it will join the US Department of Labor’s Office to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities, with the theme “Access to Good Jobs for All.”
Throughout the month, Ascend Services Executive Director Deanna Genske says they will engage in a variety of activities to educate their employees and clients on disability employment issues and their commitment to an accessible and equitable work culture.
These efforts include the organization’s weekly podcasts, print campaign & social media marketing featuring client success stories, and an Employer Recognition Reception to be held on October 17th at Sabbatical Brewing Company.
Genske continues by saying, “We want to spread the important message that we value all perspectives, especially those of individuals with disabilities.”
