A judge has ruled that the Milwaukee Archdiocese does not have to release its abuse settlement records to Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul.
Kaul’s request to access these documents as part of his investigation into church-related abuse claims was denied, with the judge expressing concerns about exposing victims and insufficient justification for unsealing the records.
The Archdiocese has accused Kaul of unfairly targeting them, while Kaul has been investigating abuse claims in the Catholic Church for years.
