The Sheboygan County Sheriff has given an update on their effort to send relief to those suffering after Hurricane Helene.
Last week, Tuesday (October 1st), the Sheriff’s Office joined in the efforts of the Police Lights of Christmas and Karl’s Transport to get much-needed relief to North Carolina following the hurricane.
Sargento donated a semi to deliver the goods to De Pere, where Karl’s Transportation then brought them to Asheville, North Carolina.
Many local businesses were eager to help, including Professional Supply, Rockline, Old Wisconsin, Walmart, and Kohler Company, who donated goods and services to those in need.
Supplies that were donated included bottled water, paper towels, diapers, blankets, and much more.
In regards to the donations and community support, Sheboygan County Sheriff Matt Spence said, “We will likely never meet the recipients of these donations, but it will make a lasting impact on them and their families.”
The Sheriff’s full update on the donations can be found online on the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
