Manitowoc Lincoln and Roncalli/Two Rivers begin postseason competition this morning (October 8th) at a WIAA Sub Sectional at The Sports Core in Kohler.
Lincoln is the host school, and other teams are competing, including Sheboygan North, Fond Du Lac, Menasha, Neenah, Oshkosh North, Oshkosh West, and Xavier of Appleton.
Athletes are looking to advance to the sectionals on Thursday, with matches begining at 9:00 a.m.
Two huge girls’ volleyball matches are on the docket as first place is up for grabs in the Big East Red Division when state-ranked Manitowoc Lutheran hosts St. Mary Catholic.
Both the Lancers and Zephyrs are 5 and 0 in league play, and Manitowoc Lutheran comes into the match winners of eight straight and 25 and 6 overall.
The Zephyrs are 17 and 6 overall, with match time at Lancer Circle set for 7:00 p.m.
Another huge match takes place at Bayport as the Pirates, undefeated in the FRCC, host Manitowoc Lincoln.
The Ships are part of a three-way tie with Notre Dame and Green Bay Southwest, a game behind the Pirates.
That match starts at 7:00 p.m.
Also in girls’ volleyball, Roncalli hosts Mishicot, and Hilbert travels to Reidsville.
Both are set for 7:00 p.m.
Boys’ Soccer has Roncalli headed to Random Lake for a 4:30 match, Manitowoc Lincoln at Green Bay Preble beginning at 6:30, and State-ranked Kiel traveling to Kohler for a 7:00 p.m. match with the Blue Bombers.
In girls’ Swimming, Manitowoc Lincoln has an FRCC dual meet at Sheboygan North beginning at 5:30 p.m.
