A woman is facing drug charges after being found passed out in the restroom of a local manufacturer.
Police officers and EMS were called to the Manitowoc business at 4:45 Tuesday evening after employees found the 45-year-old woman breathing but not responding.
It is unknown how long she had been in the restroom, but her fellow employees noted that she had gone on break roughly 30 minutes before she was found.
The EMS team carried the woman out of the building and transported her to a local hospital.
A police officer was approached by a fellow worker, who told them that he believed the woman had ingested drugs, and that he had been trying to search her bag to ensure she didn’t have any illegal drugs.
A search of her bag uncovered several items of drug paraphernalia and a tin foil bindle with fentanyl residue.
After receiving treatment, the woman was arrested on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Schedule I or II Drug.
