Manitowoc Police calls for service are still down compared to last year.
That’s the latest update from MPD after releasing their monthly report.
So far, there have been 24,299 compared to 25,060 last year at this time.
Calls for service are also down for September this year compared to last year, with 2,708 this year and 2,848 in September 2023.
Adult criminal charges are up with 148 last month and 114 in September 2023.
Juvenile criminal charges are down from 38 in 2023 to only nine in the past month.
There have been a few more accidents as well, according to Manitowoc Police.
There were 91 crashes last month compared to 90 in September 2023.
So far this year, there have been 788 accidents compared to 781 last year.
