The Manitowoc Lincoln Girls Cross Country Team placed fourth and the boys seventh at Thursday’s FRCC Cross Country Meet in Green Bay.
Head Coach Micheal Bubolz tells Seehafer Sports that the Ships girls tied De Pere for 4th place with 112 points but beat the Redbirds in the tiebreaker.
Their 6th-place runner posted a better time than De Pere, enabling Lincoln to capture 4th place.
The Ships’ boys edge Bayport by 4 points to finish 7th. Green Bay Preble won both boy’s and girls’ conference crowns.
Ships Sophomore Natalie Portmann was named first-team all-FRCC, and teammates sophomore Kendall Schmitz and freshman Nora Free were named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Meanwhile, Lincoln’s Reid Stryzewski was named to the boy’s FRCC second team.
